EAT is a nonprofit organization that works to develop and strengthen smallholder farmers with supplies to grow organic food. Instead of giving handouts, we invest in farmers to generate a gain in farm income by providing access to technology, efficient energy, integrated farm management, and crop protection to improve lives. We want to see the farming chain of African farmers transformed or revolutionized via modern technology. Solving the food and agriculture problem through organic food science and innovation. Our target is the young and middle age generation from 18-40 who needs to be educated\invested in to see the value and impact that agriculture can have on their lives. We have realized that most of the farmers on the continent have been unsuccessful in their farming career because their methods of farming are obsolete. By this, we mean their methods of selecting farmlands, farming, harvesting, processing and marketing of their produce needs serious technological transformation. We want to revolutionize the activities of these farmers by bringing in soil scientists to test their soils; we want to introduce the right types of machines and technology for farming and processing of their produce; we want to be able to create and find the right markets where they can profitably sell their produce.
